1978 83,000 Miles Automatic Both Tops This is one of the nicest and well-maintained old SL's we have had the pleasure to have. This vehicle is exceptional in mechanical and cosmetic aspects. Don't get me wrong, this is not a perfect car. But for its age, this is a SUPER CLEAN SL. The leather is worn more-so on the divers seat, but both seats have wear. The wood in the center console is cracked (like all of them). And the paint on the roof of the hard top is fading. Other than that this car is in excellent shape. The vehicle paint is clean and shiny. All the chrome shines like a dream. The windshield is even perfect. I do not know the condition of the soft top. The previous owner said they have never had the hard top off (I am not going to be the guy who took it off). All you do is get in this car and drive away. It starts right up everyday. I have a Clear Texas Title, but this is a European Model SL.
